This Sunday in C3Kids we'll be teaching from Luke 2:41-52.
It's the well-known story of Jesus being "lost" as a twelve year old boy. But our curriculum titles this passage "Jesus amazes the teachers in His Father's house." This title reveals so much more about who Jesus is and why He came to earth. Being only twelve years old, Jesus knew more about God than the grown men in the temple... because He is God! Jesus knows God perfectly and is ready and willing to teach us about Him, just as He did with the grown men in the temple.
Parents, as you discuss this story with your children this week, let them ask questions and assure them that Jesus wants to hear their questions too (v. 46). And even when Mom and Dad may not know the answers to their questions, Jesus does! Pray as a family, asking Jesus to reveal truth and wisdom to each of you.
