This Sunday in C3Kids we'll be teaching from Luke 2:1-38.
Our curriculum titles this passage "Good news of great joy!" We want the kids to know exactly why the birth of Jesus is good news of great joy. Indeed, we celebrate anytime a baby is born, but this particular baby was the promised Savior - He came to save and to give joy to all people!
As you share this passage with your kids, talk about how faithful God was to fulfill His promises and share your personal testimony of salvation in Christ. Cradle a baby doll (or younger sibling) and imagine what it might have been like to be Simeon, Anna, or one of the shepherds who got to meet Jesus as a baby. As always, listen to the kids' questions and pray together as a family, thanking God for sending His Son.
