We are very excited to begin going through the New Testament tomorrow in C3Kids! We'll be in Luke 1:5-25 as we look at how "God hears Zechariah's prayer and promises him a son."
This is a passage of great hope - God answers Zechariah's prayer and promises a son! Moreover, this son "will be filled with the Holy Spirit... And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God, to make ready for the Lord a people prepared." His son John will prepare a way for the coming Lord!
As you discuss this passage, brainstorm ways that we too can prepare our hearts for Jesus. How prepared are we to meet with Him on Sunday mornings? How prepared are we to see Him at work during the day? God delights in preparing us for His Son. Pray as a family, asking God to help us take joy in the promises He has given and to walk in the assurance that His promises are good and true.
