Our curriculum titles this lesson, "God places Esther in the king's palace." This lesson focuses on God's sovereignty. God is always in control and always has a plan, even when things don't make sense to us.
Read this story as a family and maybe even practice "crowning" Esther (I know my four year old daughter loves to play with crowns). Talk about how God had a good and mighty plan in all of this and Esther probably did not understand what was going on or why she was crowned. Share about times in your life when you have relied on faith in God to get you through day-to-day. If you're currently in one of those times, pray together as a family that you can walk in faith and trust in God's sovereignty no matter what the circumstances.
