Jonah

This Sunday we'll be teaching from Jonah in C3Kids.

The well-known story of Jonah is a fun one to share with kids.  It's a story that shows we can never run from God - He always sees us.  And His ways are better than our ways.

And it's a story of grace.  Both Jonah and Nineveh were weighted down by their sins.  But as Jonah 4:2 says, God used them to reveal that He is "a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love."  We are all broken people.  But our God is a God of second (and third, and fourth, and so on) chances.  He's patient with us and lavishes us with unwavering love.

Parents, let's strive to be patient with our children this week and watch for how God is using them and using us for His purposes.  And maybe enjoy a snack of goldfish as you talk about Jonah and the big fish!
