With Valentine's Day approaching, it's the perfect time to look at 1 John 4:7-21 with your kids!
One of the first verses that my tots memorize is from 1 John 4:8; "God is love." In C3Kids, we focus on teaching the kids who God is - we focus on the characteristics of God. What better characteristic to study than love itself?!
In this Bible passage, John teaches us what love genuinely looks like. He describes something drastically different than what we see in the movies and culture of today. It is certainly a convicting passage for people of all ages!
If you have younger kiddos, this book has been helpful and fun to read this week with my preschoolers.
And sometimes it works best to talk about verses while the kids are creating something and using their hands, so here's a collection of heart-themed crafts for kids (found on Pinterest, of course!) to go with the passage:

Thought this was a great article to go along with "God is love."
